Bring it on!

It's getting closer... There are only 2 weeks left. Exams will be taken, so learning is essential these days. Hopefully we'll do it. ;) I wouldn't like to deal with this topic any longer. It' s boring and makes us nervous, doesn't it? :) :P

Next week (from Wednesday to Sunday) I'm going to Ljubljana as a member of Aegee-Pécs, which is one of the Hungarian agencies of Europe's biggest student organization. We'll take part in several conferences and some parties in those 5 days. It won't be bad to be there with the guys, but my conscience says that I'd better learn that time, too. :S :) And that is that... I had to apply for this program and pay ages ago so there is no way back. Anyway, I'll get some more national routine (before the 'summer-mission') and have chance to be and communicate with more than 600 students from almost every part of Europe. So, let's bring it on, the summer and the exam period are almost here...

Spring, trepidancy, confession

Another week have passed. What about the situation? Well, the exam period is coming at a great pace. We should start focusing on it. Last week one of our course was cancelled, by the way. I wasn't surprised that much. Shall we say: It's a usual routine?. I don't know. All I know is that it was the 6th time during this semester when a lesson held off. In the fall, all of them were 'OK'. We have few sessions anyway. Except that we have ridiculous number of credits...Sometimes I feel if I was a gadabout. :S I am absolutely unable to learn the way I ought to these days. However, we must do it. :) Though there are fewer tests and any other school exercises, preparing for the sessions are essential. Nevertheless, it's not easy at all. (Least ways not for me)

I remember talking with my flatmate in September, last year. We discussed that during the semester itself he would learn loosely, but in his exam period /like my parents and lawyer friends had done/. (He studies at the Faculty of Laws at PTE) Well, who of us has to take oral and written tests almost every week? He has to. Moreover, who has got twice more credits from fewer subjects? David has got. (Yeah I know that's another faculty with another way of teaching and there is no point in comparing them...it's just interesting)

On the other hand, the Uni is brilliant, I'm thankful to study here. I still have a lot of good mates and the number of them is increasing. :) The weather is getting better and better, spring is here undoubtedly. On Wednesday, the 'Hungarian Support Staff Delegation' has probably finished its preparing mission, namely we got the American visa. ;) Yesterday, I could meet my Girlfriend after a one-week-pause, so fortunately happenings became good. The following week’ll be important and hard so I should keep on (or start) learning. Taking all into consideration, I would say that too much free time (with my laziness) caused my strange behaviour and feelings. If I learn this new way of preparing for sessions, everything will be OK. Additionally, I'll have time for everything and everyone (not like lately)

The "March" of the time

March is the present. It's come along quickly, right? I can hardly follow the march of time. Unfortunately, I cannot feel it somehow. Although I've a lot of free time, I'm often late. It wasn't characteristic of me, by the way. Secondly, sometimes I've got difficulties in learning. To tell the truth this semester is stranger than the latest one. There much more to learn but there are less tests or oral presentations. One of our seminars is cancelled as usual. :-S etc. We need to engage another way of learning. We should learn more and differently. As for me, it takes more time to get used to it. I'm a person who intends to forget things easily. Moreover, if I can't feel the "taste of danger", I am at leisure. So these days went by learning hard... I need to catch up with myself.

However, I have good time at present. :) It’s Easter time, the family members are together, the Easter-ham is being boiled, my Mother is painting colourful eggs. I start my days with having huge breakfast, you know... The "usual routines". :) I also visit my Girlfriend every day, and prepare for the next week when Uni-life continues. Till then, Boys, Gentlemen, let's get armed to the teeth with cologne-water and bucket! This Monday calls us ;) :)

11 years, fixed memory

Last Monday... It happened last Monday... I got bus number 2, as I had a meeting at Café Sopianae. I met my mates there. Since September, 2007, I am a member of Aegee-Pécs, which is a European student's organization working for integration within European countries and their students and Universities. The leader of Aegee-Pécs congregated a meeting to discuss some items on the agenda. How to keep in touch with other 'Aegees' in the future, how to help each other, etc. We also managed to apply for a 4-day-long journey to Ljubljana, Slovenia as well.
The most essential event came after that. One of the new members, who were to introduce themselves at first, started to speak. After mentioning his name, I was sure that the guy standing next to me was one of my ex-classmates from the primary school. We hadn't met since 1997, when I and my family moved to Kaposvár from Siófok. We haven't met up till now!! He went on telling us further info about himself. I was just sitting and smiling. But after a few minutes I couldn't help asking him some questions. :) Firstly, I wanted to make sure that he was surely that person I thought. Well, he was.
Needless to say, after the little Aegee-conference, we went to drink a little bit celebrating our meeting after 11 years which passed. Although we haven't known anything about each other, almost everything came to our mind in that evening. Stories, funny events, friends, teachers, etc. How little is this country, isn't it? Well, this is the world we live in... ;)

Success?!

This Sunday was quite busy for me and 3 of my group mates. We had to show up in Budapest, in Hotel Hilton (next to WCC and Western Railway station). As you probably know, we'll spend almost 2 months in the US during the summer. After getting on the IC in the morning, we travelled 3 hours to get to the 'capital'. There was held a conference, where approximately 30 directors of different American summer camps appeared to enter in a contract with European applicants who wished to get summer job in the States.

Our small team arrived there with the same reason. Namely to choose the most suitable camp, which is perfect for a 2-month-stayingand having fun, of course. As we were so confused about this all event, it took relatively much time for us to get to Hilton (although it wasn't so far, but Budapest and its traffic are abject... And we weren't in the mood either ). Fortunately, we appeared in time. After checking in, and listening to a short speech of the CCUSA Counter Director, we got into another room when the show could start.

Within a minute, the whole place was overrun by hundreds of fresh applicants. Every stand had a young man/women talking with the camp directors. We started to look for the camp(s) we had decided to choose before. Making this long story short, Balázs and Me managed to come to an agreement with "N.o1" Camp. However, the girl members, namely Réka and Dóri would have like to apply for the same place, they were asked to choose another one, which is better for their skills. To my mind it's unfair. They weren't told the truth directly... :S

All in all, we had a partly successful day. The Girls got a similar job, not far from the Boys' target place. Having a rather exhausted day, we were really glad to hold the signed summer job contracts in our hands, and to say: "We've done it!" On the other hand, we would have been happier if all of us had got the same job at the same place. :( We did this all procedure Together, we should've been given the right to finish and enjoy it with each other. It's like teamwork, you know. But we have no time for being sad now, as we'll have chances to meet in the US, too, during our day-offs. We're supposed to ask for American visa as soon as possible. It's going to be the last big "mission" before living through The Best Summer In Our Life as the slogan says...

Reloaded

Well, I am here, again. Christmas, New Year's Eve... These are over. 2008. Magical number? Or just a usual one again? If I think it over one more time, '07 was not awful at all. :) I passed all my final exams, fortunately became a student of PTE, travelled a lot, so many good things happened to me. My 18th birthday also came to pass last year, so there were no lack of great events neither. I'm afraid that it would need several blog entries summarizing what 2007 meant to me. :) However, I'd continue mentioning what was that year to me.

Learning a lot was typical of me at the beginning. From January, I had to prepare for my final exams. In nutshell, I passed all of them during the spring. English, which was the most important "act", was written well, so now I have chance to attend PTE. ;)
In July, I got abroad. It was an important point in 2007 for me, as it was my present for passing all my exams. I travelled on my own, so I lived through an adventure. I discovered North-Europe. Relaxing of course was common as well during the holiday...Lake Balaton, friends, parents what else. :)

Unfortunately, the winter was about being sad. All of my parents were operated on in December. Thanks for God; they are ABSOLUTELY Ok at present. Complications are not expected. Although, the treatment of my Dad took about a month, but it was even uncomfortable than serious. :) ;)

Last, but not least, I must mention the best thing that happened to me last year. It was in Kaposvár, around Xmass. I was shopping with my Mum in one of the hypermarkets of the town, when She met her old friend, a lady. They hadn't met for ages. The lady was not alone, neither... :) She was with her daughter.. Needless to continue (maybe it is a topic for and other bog entry...), since that time We are in love, she is my girlfriend for more than 2 months...

So that's it. It was 2007 to me.
